We are looking for an experienced Finance Officer to join our accounts team. Your job will be to work as part of the Accounts Department while communicating closely with our suppliers, customers, and Jonsigns services to ensure the accuracy of the information that is stored and processed in our finance systems.
With previous experience using accounts packages, you will have experience working independently in a financial setting. Self-motivation and the ability to prioritise your work are essential to meeting deadlines. We are looking for someone with proficiency in Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and databases. Ideally, you will be AAT-qualified, and knowledgeable about Sage Accountancy Software.
The successful candidate would be required to look after the following areas in the business.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Maintaining an up to date accounts system
Ensuring creditors are paid on time
Sales and purchase ledger
Supplier Payments
Staff expenses
Credit control
Bank reconciliations
Accruals & Prepayments
Expenses
VAT returns
Maintaining cash flow forecast
General admin
Assistance with monthly management accounts
Salary journals
Ad hoc duties
Skills & experience required for the role:
Knowledge of cloud-based finance systems and Microsoft Office 365 software, especially excel
A strong eye for detail
Able to use initiative, demonstrate problem solving and redirect queries accordingly
Highly organised with ability to work efficiently, accurately and at speed as necessary
Ability to prioritise workload and work to deadlines
High level of professionalism and confidentiality
Capable of working as part of a team and autonomously
Strong willingness to learn
