Operations Manager

JS Group are currently seeking an Operations Manager with a strong leadership and excellent customer service background to create, develop and lead a highly competent manufacturing team such that safety, quality, delivery and installation dates are met and exceeded.

The successful candidate would be required to look after the following areas in the business.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Take overall responsibility for the whole production processes in the factory

Ensure production targets are being met

Planning, scheduling, monitoring and execution of the factory production process

Ensuring production volumes and product quality are at a high level

Ensure daily targets and quality standards are met

Liaison with managers on a continuous basis to help the production line work efficiently

Answer phone / dealing with customers enquiries and keeping them up-to-date with production and delivery stages

Constant customer communication to ensure all clients are fully aware of the certain stages the project is at

Manage day to day production operations of the company from planning to manufacture and delivery to installations

Build relationships with customers and suppliers

Lead, supervise & motivate all staff in all departments

Daily/weekly operations and production meetings

Logistics for national installations

Submission of weekly/monthly reports to the Managing Director

Willing to work flexible hours during busy periods

People Management:

Create good working relationships with the Factory Management Team

Ensure all staff within the factory are following the correct processes and procedures in order to meet deadlines

Manage day to day staff issues – walking the floor to identify and deal with as required and escalating up when appropriate.

Work with project managers and head of design to ensure all information has been received and specific dates have been scheduled in to suit all client expectations

Skills & experience required for the role:

Demonstrable experience in mentoring individuals and teams to be the best

Have an enthusiastic, diligent and proactive approach

Excellent analytical and reporting skills

Excellent organisation skills and the ability to prioritise tasks

The ability to achieve targets and personal objectives

A positive outlook with the ability to work under pressure and to work flexibly to meet business requirements

Qualifications and Characteristics:

Previous experience in an operations management role

Ability to lead and coach large teams

Good IT skills (Outlook, Word and Excel)

Qualification in a relevant discipline is preferred

Salary: £28,000-£33,000 per annum depending on experience

Permanent Position

40 hours per week – Monday to Thursday 8.00 a.m. – 5.00 p.m. | Friday 8.00 a.m. – 2.00 p.m.
